Formatting the search results for rooms

You can specify how the results for rooms content displays in the search results list. The manner in which a room is displayed in the results depends on the display field you choose for the rooms content. You have two fields to choose from:

Is Room Current: Displays the hyperlinked hierarchical path to the room. When not selected, displays the room content in the search results (each content column is returned as a separate result, so the content may not appear as it would in the actual room and does not include a link to the room).

Format: Displays the Rooms Content format icon.

Of the Additional Displayable Fields, only the Excerpt has any application to rooms results. When you select it, Portfolio displays the search string in a snippet of the room content.

This topic describes how to format the search results display for rooms.

To format the rooms search results display

Choose Displays from the navigation pane.

Choose Search Result Displays.

Choose Edit for ROOM_CONTENT_DEFAULT.

From the Action drop-down list, select Revision Key.

Choose Next.

Move the search fields you want to display to the Selected list.

Note: You must select at least one search field.

In the Additional Displayable Fields, move Excerpt to either the Available or Selected list to exclude or include it in the results display.

Choose Finish.

Choose Scheduled Tasks in the navigation pane.

Choose System Tasks.

Choose Refresh Cache.
